Rhino Black

19 000 kr

Designed in 2025 by Simon Mattisson for the Animism collection.

Inspired by chalcolithic craft, the Rhino sideboard blurs the line between sculpture and function. Made from a black-pigmented biodegradable wood composite using advanced robotic technologies.

The Animism collection explores the tension between ancient symbolism and modern technology. Its name, drawn from anthropology, reflects the belief that objects, places, and creatures possess a spiritual essence, an idea echoed in the collection, where each piece is imbued with life and movement.

Small sideboard, 80×90×19 cm.

TENCEL™ is an eco-friendly fiber made from responsibly sourced wood pulp. The wood pulp is dissolved in a closed-loop process with a non-toxic organic solvent, then the solution is forced through tiny holes in order to create a magical biodegradable fiber that feels softer and lighter than cotton.
